Since her mother left, Lana has been going through a bratty goth phase, pissing off her stepdad Mike every chance she gets. He feels that she has been testing his limits—staying out late, dressing provocatively, and constantly talking back—and he’s finally reached his breaking point. As his rules get harsher in response, the tension boils over into a heated argument.
